Staff member has positive impact on school culture

Tanner Lovato is a top notch custodian at Cotton Creek. He prides himself in keeping the building and grounds safe, clean and well maintained. What others often don't see, is the positive impact he has on our staff and students.
During our fundraiser earlier this year, our fifth graders voted for him to be “silly stringed” as a reward for meeting their fundraising goal. He participated willingly, with a smile on his face. He doesn’t hesitate to sit next to students at lunch and help them solve a conflict, or make them laugh if they are having a hard day. The kids love the floor machine he drives with “googly eyes” on it. He gets to work early on snowy days so that he can clear the blacktop and even plows fun designs in the field so that kids don’t miss outdoor recess. We even use Tanner's "happy face" to celebrate when kids are following rules and keeping areas clean. He is constantly going above and beyond to meet the needs of staff and students!. He is a gift to Cotton Creek and the district.
