Our Principal

My name is Theresa Gilbreath and I am honored to serve as the Principal of Cotton Creek Elementary.  I have served in Adams 12 Five Star Schools for the last twenty-five years in various roles including a Classroom Teacher, Instructional Coach, District Math Specialist and  as an Assistant Principal.  I feel blessed to be returning to Cotton Creek as I taught 2nd grade here at the start of my career almost 24 years ago.  

 I grew up in Adams 12 as a student and graduated from Northglenn High School where I attended with my husband.  I have three children who also attended Adams 12 schools and were given a strong foundation here.  I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education with an emphasis in Early Childhood as well as a Masters in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from University of Denver. 

I'm excited to partner with you to provide our students with a safe, positive, and inclusive environment where they can learn and grow socially and academically. I have met so many wonderful families within this community, and am excited to meet a new group of Kindergartners and their families.  They will quickly become Cougars, and know how special it is to be a Cotton Creek student.  Please don't hesitate to reach out to me with comments, questions, concerns or compliments for our wonderful staff.
