Our Principal

Dear Cotton Creek Elementary Community,
I am honored to serve as the principal in this wonderful community. As we move into this school year, we begin our theme of Together, All the Pieces Fit. As a staff, we strive to continue to improve our craft and model for our students our ability to dig deeper & put all of the pieces together. We also feel that the message of our class community and school fitting together and continuing a strong sense of belonging is something we value.
Let me share a few things about my professional background. I have been in education for 20 years, all of which have been here in Colorado. I taught middle school Language Arts before moving out of the classroom and into an instructional coaching role. After spending four years as an instructional coach, I moved into administration. I am in my 11th year of administration spending eight years as the Assistant Principal here at Cotton Creek before moving into the Principal role in 2024. Being in a variety of schools and districts as a teacher and administrator, I have seen how school communities come together to support our students. I look forward to maintaining the strong community foundation that I have already been a part of for so long here at CCE.
When not at school, you will find me with my three daughters and husband playing outside, hiking and going to events around Colorado. I am a Colorado native and we are lucky to have most of our family close by to help with our busy schedules and activities.
Strong, trusting connections with both students and families are important to me. I strive to know all of our students by name, strength and need as we work as a team to support our CCE students. Together, we will grow & achieve amazing things!
In partnership,
Alizabeth Gooding
