I am so excited about the school year ahead. This will be my first year teaching at Cotton Creek Elementary, but my 22nd in education. I am a Colorado native who grew up in Arvada and received my Bachelor’s degree from Baker University in Baldwin City, Kansas with a degree in Sports Marketing. As wonderful as Kansas was, immediately after graduation I returned back to Colorado, which is an amazing place to live and play.
I started my teaching career working with 4th graders, then taught technology to 1st through 6th grade students which will be a great asset working in a remote classroom this year. I have also been an assistant principal, athletic director and elementary principal in both Adams 12 and Jefferson County. I am deeply passionate about continuous improvement and love to see students expand their learning experiences well past what they learn in the classroom.
At home, I am married to an amazing lady who is way too good for me and have three wonderful children; Tessa, Kennedy and Tate. When not at home, I usually can be found playing softball, football or golf. I am more competitive than I would ever admit and am always trying to improve.
Here is to a great year!
