I am the SLS teacher at Cotton Creek Elementary. SLS (Structured Learning Services) is a special education program designed to provide academic and behavioral supports to students on the autism spectrum. Prior to becoming the SLS teacher here at Cotton Creek I was a paraeducator working in the SLS program. I worked as an SLS para for five years before getting my special ed lisence. For the next two years I was the SSN teacher at Federal Heights Elementary, serving students with severe cognitive and physical disabilities. Finally I returned to Cotton Creek to take over the SLS program.
I am a native Coloradan. I went to Pomona High School, graduated from Metro State University with my BA, and did my lisensure work with University of Colorado Denver. In my free time I love art, going to the movies, and taking long hikes. I love Cotton Creek and am deeply passionate about special education and the community I serve.
